QuestionPro have opted cell comparison technique for highlighting the Most Significant cells. We consider the effect of other variables on the variable we study and see if there is any change in the percentage derived. Method opted for the calculation is column/cell comparison technique.
The column proportion option will only work if our Chi-Square Test confirms that there is an association between parent variables.
This test will only confirm the cell is most statistically significant i.e. it is not affected by other variables and the percentage has not occurred as result of random chance variation.
In row and column significance we highlight the cell that has highest percentage when compared to other cells. The row significance highlights the cell which is most significant in a row based on the percentage and column significance hhighlights the cell with highest column percentage.
Column proportion test is a statistical analysis which compares 2 cells at a time using T-test and if the cells are signficantly related then it will provide a subscript of the column in the cell with which there is a significant relation. In the above example cells of column B are significantly related to Column G.
